About the Role

Big Event Picnic Tables is looking for a hands-on Outdoor Furniture Builder to join our growing team. You'll be part of our manufacturing crew, building high-quality timber furniture used at Australia's biggest festivals, community events, and commercial spaces.

This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with timber, tools, and machinery – and seeing the results of their work make a difference at events across the country.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building outdoor timber furniture (picnic tables, benches, beer garden sets, high bars, pallet furniture)
  • Using saws, drills, sanders, and other woodworking tools
  • Painting, staining, and finishing timber products
  • Completing basic repairs and refurbishments between hires
  • Working as part of a team to meet production schedules
  • Occasionally helping with on-site event builds (great variety – not stuck in the warehouse all day)
  • Optional overtime during peak event season (weekends available if desired)

What We're Looking For

  • Carpentry / woodworking experience preferred
  • Ability to carry out repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and a consistent work pace
  • Comfortable using power tools and working in a safe, efficient manner
  • Team player with a strong work ethic – "getting your hands dirty" is part of our culture
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in quality workmanship

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
