While sales and customer service are your primary focus, this all-rounder role will also give you the opportunity to support our technical team and build skills in bike mechanics—experience in this area is highly regarded.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate/ Bike Mechanic (All-Rounder), you're a key part of the in-store experience—offering outstanding service, reaching sales goals, and helping across all areas of the store, including merchandising, stock management, and bike mechanic experience.

Sales & Hospitality

  • Use our Guide Sales Process to connect customers with the right bikes, gear, and services.
  • Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets—$400,000 per fiscal year for full-time roles.
  • Develop your sales and customer service skills through training, role-playing, and on-the-job experience.
  • Follow up on quotes and lead lists to drive customer conversion.
  • Participate in daily huddles and debriefs to stay aligned with the team.
  • Make customer-focused decisions to provide a positive, memorable experience.
  • Respond to store phone and email inquiries with professionalism.
  • Assist with UBG/Warranty cases by facilitating exchanges and communicating with Inventory DRI

Product Knowledge

  • Learn about Trek bikes, components, apparel, and technology.
  • Maintain Trek University Guide Status by completing required training modules.

Store Operations

  • Support opening/closing duties, operate the Ascend POS, and complete end-of-day cash-up.
  • Complete tasks as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Uphold Trek's uniform and presentation standards.

When Not with Customers, You'll Help:

  • Complete the Daily Task List to support store efficiency.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards: product placement, pricing, and restocking.
  • Conduct weekly Cycle Counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Assemble or pre-assemble bicycles and prep bikes for service by the workshop team—bike mechanic experience is highly valued.
  • Keep both the showroom and back-of-house areas clean, tidy, and organized.

You don't need to be a bike expert—but you should bring energy, curiosity, and a desire to learn. Mechanical experience is a bonus but not essential.
