About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Psychologist to provide trauma-informed psychological care to children and families, helping them heal and thrive through evidence-based interventions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of children and families.
- Level 6 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
- Full-time position until 10 April 2026 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an outstanding therapeutic service to children, young people and their families in the Broadmeadows area.
- Provide trauma-informed psychological assessments and interventions as part of an integrated team.
- Maintain a client case load as negotiated with the Clinical Services Manager.
- Encourage and strengthen supportive relationships with adult caregivers.
- Work with Act for Kids team members, other professionals and agencies to enhance client outcomes.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology.
- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (essential).
- Membership of the Australian Psychological Society is desirable (desirable).
- At least two years' experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or experienced abuse and neglect, or at least two years' experience working in similar roles.
- Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
- Clinical and therapeutic understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.
- Knowledge of current trauma treatment trends and child protection legislation and policy reforms.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver's licence.
- Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
