About the Role
Place Studio is seeking a talented Senior Architect to join our team in Woolloomooloo. This is a senior role, suited to an experienced architect with strong design, documentation, and project management capabilities.
You'll work across a variety of Mult-residential (Class 2) and mixed-use projects, working closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver thoughtful, innovative architectural solutions.

You're an experienced architect who combines creative flair with technical expertise. You're confident in leading teams, managing complex projects, and delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. You enjoy mentoring others, thrive in a collaborative environment, and have exceptional Revit skills.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Master's Degree in Architecture OR TAFE Diploma in Building Design

Minimum 7 years of professional experience

Experience in Class 2 CC and Construction Documentation is highly regarded
-
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate project delivery
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Documentation
-
Lead concept and detailed design phases across multiple projects
-
Develop architectural drawings and 3D models using Revit and BIM software
-
Ensure compliance with building codes, Australian Standards, and regulations
2. Project Leadership
-
Oversee project teams in preparing comprehensive documentation
-
Lead the preparation of proposals, technical reports, and specifications
-
Conduct and lead client and project meetings
3. Research & Site Analysis
-
Investigate materials, design trends, and sustainability initiatives
-
Assess site conditions, zoning, and environmental factors for design input
4. Client & Consultant Coordination
-
Act as primary liaison for client communication and internal coordination
-
Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to align on design intent
-
Ensure clarity and consistency across all communications and deliverables
5. Mentoring & Development
-
Delegate tasks, review documentation, and support junior staff development
-
Stay current with evolving design tools, technology, and industry trends
-
Engage in ongoing professional development
Skills & Competencies

Strong conceptual and technical design abilities

Deep experience with Construction Certificates and documentation coordination

Advanced Revit proficiency (essential)
