The CompanyBased in the SE suburbs of Melbourne, our client is a market leader in sourcing, developing and delivering components to the OEM vehicle manufacturers in the global market.

The Role:Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department by executing a range of responsibilities, including transaction processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts payable processing, i.e. data entry of invoices, credit notes, adjustments, reconciliation and payments preparation and additional  reporting as required
  • Accounts receivable processing, i.e. collections, management of overdue balances, etc
  • General ledger data entry
  • Petty cash and credit card reconciliation management
  • Reconciliation, analysis and reporting of various expense and balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of draft financial statements for review by the Financial Controller
  • Maintaining and updating the finance filing system in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ad hoc administration, incl. filing, archiving, scanning, correspondence, report compilation and department support as required
  • Ensuring confidentiality in handling all business transactions

The Person :You outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving. You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and numerical proficiency, with the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite - a must, and knowledge of Pronto software preferred.

A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline, along with prior experience in accounting, is highly valued.
