We're currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Fleet and Logistics Division as a Vac Truck Driver. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn on the job, operate heavy vehicles, and contribute to essential environmental and industrial services across Tasmania. Training will be provided, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values safety, reliability, and growth.
About the role
- Based in Ulverstone, with a mix of local work and travel to sites across Tasmania.
- Casual to start, with the potential to transition to full-time employment following a performance review.
- Includes occasional callouts and weekend work, with appropriate penalty rates and allowances.
Key Tasks
- Operate vacuum trucks for liquid waste removal, hydro excavation, and industrial cleaning
- Conduct pre-start checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety
- Complete job documentation and liaise with clients on-site
- Follow safety and environmental procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Assist other divisions with fleet-related tasks as required.
Experience and qualifications
Essential:
- HR or HC Truck Licence
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and consistent work ethic
- Willingness to call outs and weekend work when required (appropriate penalty rates and allowances apply)
- Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
Desirable:
- Understanding of Construction Industry practices including non-destructive digging
- Previous experience operating vac trucks or similar equipment
