The Lakeside Village Tavern has been a favourite amongst Raymond Terrace residents.
The fantastic service and recently renovated venue helps create a unique and welcoming atmosphere for its locals.
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
Working closely with the Head Chef you will:
Drive the day-to-day kitchen and catering activities. You will be part of the kitchen's leadership team in the production and delivery of high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Working the busy service periods along with a small and dedicated kitchen team.
- Assist in planning and preparing all kitchen requirements for the delivery of quality and consistent meals.
- Drive food costs, budgets, staffing and rostering for the kitchen operations in conjunction with the Head Chef.
- Monitor and manage WHS and hygiene standards in the kitchen, and resolve or escalate incidents or concerns as necessary.
- Creating, planning and implementing bistro and function menus.
- Coach and mentor junior chefs and cooks.
About you
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experienced working in a busy kitchen team.
- A collaborative approach with management.
- A keen eye for the detail.
- Excellent communicator.
- Great time management.
- Innovate and flexible.
- Have working rights in Australia.
