An exciting opportunity is available at St Anthony's Catholic Primary School Millicent for an experienced Cleaner to join our team This role is responsible for carrying out a range of general cleaning tasks and activities within the school, as per Work Health & Safety requirements.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

A minimum of 1-2 years cleaning experience is required.

This casual position requires availability for after school hours.

The cleaner we are looking for must have the following skills and qualities:

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning, ensuring a particular area is clean by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, deodorising, dusting, polishing and tidying.
  • Take responsibility for security of the area you work in by ensuring the building is safely locked and secured at the end of your shift. Reporting any breaches to your manager.
  • Must be physically fit, reliable, motivated self-starter who can work unsupervised.
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to safely and responsibly follow instructions and respond appropriately.
  • Display a neat and tidy standard of dress that promotes safety and suits the practical demands of the workplace including appropriate personal protective equipment to fulfil role requirements.
  • Work to a set cleaning schedule, all cleaning products and equipment supplied.
  • The successful applicant will be required to attain and maintain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Training required (or the ability to obtain): Applicable First Aid Certificate relevant to the role requirements; Current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA; Current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate.
