City of Launceston is excited to be seeking applications from enthusiastic, motivated individuals for the following 2-year Traineeship:

Position Title: Trainee IT Support Officer

Position Number: POS1810

We are looking for someone who shows, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and can demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in Information Technology (IT).

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes


• Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire and aptitude to provide and support a high level of customer service and collaboration to and within all teams and networks (be a "people person" with a "can do attitude").


• An ability to create written documents of a good standard (i.e. that are clear, concise, grammatically correct and formatted well), for a wide range of internal and external customers.


• An ability to self-manage tasks and workload and have a logical, flexible and thorough approach to work performed; however, with a willingness to accept direction and supervision as required.


• Basic IT Knowledge gained via subject through education or personal interest of technology.
