We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our technical team and play a critical role in building, deploying, and managing our industry-leading SaaS platform.

Role Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer at Fortiro, you will be responsible for the operational integrity, security, and scalability of our platform. You will leverage your deep expertise in
AWS
and
CI/CD
to build and maintain the infrastructure that underpins our services. Your primary focus will be on automating processes, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring our platform can scale securely to meet the demands of our growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Infrastructure & Platform Management:
    Design, implement, and manage a secure, scalable, and highly available SaaS platform on AWS. Take ownership of the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Automation:
    Develop, manage, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines (using Azure DevOps) to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery, from code commit to production deployment.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    Drive our IaC strategy by creating and maintaining infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable environments.
  • Security & Compliance:
    Champion a "security-first" mindset. Implement and manage security best practices across the infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline, utilizing AWS security tools (e.g., Security Hub, Inspector, Patch Manager) to meet compliance standards (e.g., CIS, OWASP).
  • Monitoring, Logging & Incident Response:
    Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, OpenSearch) to ensure proactive issue detection, rapid response, and minimal downtime.
  • Scalability & Performance Tuning:
    Continuously analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure our platform remains fast, efficient, and cost-effective as it scales.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
    Develop, test, and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure operational resilience.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, or similar role.
  • Proven
    experience managing a commercial SaaS platform in a secure, scalable,
    and multi-tenant AWS environment is essential.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with a wide range of
    AWS services
    (e.g., VPC, IAM, CloudFormation).
  • Strong experience building and managing
    CI/CD pipelines
    , preferably with Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like
    AWS CloudFormation
    .
  • Solid scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as OpenSearch.
  • A strong understanding of networking, system administration, and security principles.
  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as
    AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards like CIS Benchmarks or OWASP.
