About the Company & Role:

I've partnered with a well-established organisation in Western Sydney that is embarking on a major, high-profile project. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded Financial Accountant who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys being part of a business undergoing transformation and growth.

This role is ideally suited to first movers from audit or consulting or up and coming Financial Accountants looking to take the next step in their career. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Managing the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting working capital management.
  • Supporting audit and tax reporting requirements, including liaising with external auditors.
  • Driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CA or CPA qualifications.
  • Ideally suited for first movers from Big 4 or mid-tier audit/ consulting, or those with strong commercial accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present financial data.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
