About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Nursing Unit Manager role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of nursing/ staff to ensure the provision of high quality patient and family centred care and nursing and or midwifery excellence at unit/ward level.

Ideal Candidate

• Current unencumbered Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Extensive post registration experience in a relevant clinical area with clinical management experience in a tertiary/district health care facility.
• Demonstrated proficient problem solving skills and experience in Performance Development.
• Demonstrated advanced communication and negotiation skills and experience in conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated experience in quality management programs.
• Demonstrated computer literacy skills and competency in the use of clinical information systems.
• Can work a 7 day/week rotating roster.
