Join us as a Personal Care Assistant (Part Time/Casual), where you can build valuable communication and care service skills in supporting vulnerable people within our community.

For them – here's how you'll contribute

You'll truly care about serving and supporting older people, delivering daily living supports that prioritise their social and emotional well-being, safety and dignity.

You duties include;

  • Delivering meal trays and preparing their food
  • Assisting with daily grooming
  • Assisting with recreational activities, including 1:1 social time or helping them join in activities.
  • Most importantly, you'll be providing companionship.

Shifts are available across Monday – Sunday between 8am – 12pm and 4pm - 8pm, based at our Alstonville facility.

With you – here's what you'll need

You don't need to have any prior experience for this role. You will be fully supported with training and access to a mentor for the duration of your employment.

You will need to:

  • Demonstrate interest in working in a health-related or community-based field
  • Have a genuine care mindset and a high degree of patience
  • Be adaptive and resilient
  • Be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Check and
  • Be willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Work independently, use judgement and problem solve as part in an active team environment
  • Have Australian Working Rights
  • Undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
