We're currently working with a highly regarded law firm to secure an experienced Construction & Projects Lawyer on a 4-6 week contract, commencing immediately with the potential to extend. The ideal lawyer will be based in Melbourne however; the client is open to remote candidates with substantial Victorian experience.

About the role:

Reporting to a partner, you will have the opportunity to work independently on both front-end and back-end matters.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal advice
  • Conducting legal research
  • Advising on contract administration to optimise client outcomes
  • Managing disputes across various jurisdictions
  • Handling construction adjudication matters
  • Applying a solid understanding of construction methodology and relevant legislation, including the Security of Payment regime

Who we are looking for:

We would like to speak to lawyers with 5+ years PAE, strong construction and projects experience, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent attention to detail.
