Our Client in is a friendly and engaging individual with a love for video games, playing guitar, and a good game of chess.

He enjoys getting out and about in the community, meeting new people, and making meaningful connections and would like to be supported to do this more often.

With a great sense of humour and a laid-back nature, he's looking for a young female Support Worker aged 20-30 who can join him for outings, appointments, and companionship.

He values kindness, reliability, and someone who's genuine and supportive.

About the Role:

You'll be supporting a client who enjoys playing guitar, chess and video games

Your role will include:

  • Community access and outings focused on social opportunities
  • Transport to appointments
  • Companionship and support

What We're Looking For:

  • Someone with a valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Vehicle must have full comprehensive insurance and be large enough to fit a folded wheelchair
  • A kind, caring, and friendly personality
  • Someone who enjoys engaging with others and can support social interaction

What you'll be helping with:

  • Personal care
  • Domestic duties & Cooking
  • Light gardening tasks
  • Shopping support

Manual handling experience is a must.

Available shifts:

  • Friday: 8:30am – 12:30pm & 1:30pm – 3:30pm

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $76.38 -(sorry, rate not negotiable).

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of Clients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
  • Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client's needs
  • Provide support to our Clients as required
  • Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
  • Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
  • Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
  • To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

  • Resonate with the role description above
  • Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
  • Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
  • Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
