Job Title: Cook / Chef

Employment: Full Time / Part Time / Casual

Janes Hospitality Group (JHG) are looking for a professional, high-energy Cook / Chef with excellent communication skills to prepare and maintain excellent standards of food preparation and presentation at a Prestigious location in Darwin CBD.

The role will require you to:

· Support the operations of the catering service

· Supporting catering to clients during service hours

· Preparing workstations with the necessary ingredients and equipment provided

· The preparation, cooking, serving / packaging of foodstuffs, using commercial grade equipment in accordance with kitchen SOP's.

· Ensure the kitchen maintains the hygienic and sanitary standard as determined by AFSS, Company food safety plan, HACCP procedures and cleaning / maintenance schedules.

· Make the necessary adjustments to meals as necessary to comply with customer demands from direction from senior management & Executive Chef.

· Prepare food in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are achieved.

· Adaptable, flexible, effective communication, ethical work practices, able to work in a socially, culturally diverse and harmonious environment.

Successful Candidates will:

· Be able to supply a Nation Police Check

· 5 years experience in similar role

· Safe Food Handling Training

· Knowledge of various cooking techniques and their various outcomes

· Excellent communication skills and a team player

· Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.

*Availability to work days, weekends, and public holidays
