Role OverviewWe're seeking a driven Business Development Manager to win retail repair work in Victoria. Ideal for someone from the trucking industry, this role covers lead generation, quoting, negotiating, account management, and closing. Success means proactive engagement, solution-driven sales, and building lasting customer relationships. You'll help keep our rental fleet in top condition while driving growth in the refrigerated truck market. Strong hunter instincts, sales acumen, and commitment to service are essential. You'll represent our brand, enhance our reputation as a trusted industry partner, and play a key role in expanding our market reach across our core scope; Rent | Buy | Repair.
You will be required to work both independently and collaboratively with the local depot and interstate Head Office teams.
Key Responsibilities
This is a pivotal role focused on managing relationships, growing & stabilising our brand and presence in Melbourne.
- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
- Conduct regular site visits to key customers, addressing their repair and maintenance needs, gathering feedback, and building strong, lasting relationships to enhance customer satisfaction
- Execute strategic campaigns & targeted approaches resulting in revenue growth
- Develop new leads & opportunities in your designated regions through cold calling & lead generation
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Increasing the revenue from current customers while attracting new ones.
- Finding and developing new markets and improving repair retail sales.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
- Communicate end to end process from order acceptance to delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior sales role or operational role in food service, refrigerated vehicles, automotive, or similar industry
- Strong sales aptitude
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in a CRM – Salesforce and Xero (preferred but not required)
