YOUR NEW POSITION

Due to continuous and fast growth, we are seeking an experienced workshop based CNC Horizontal Borer Operator, for a permanent full time position, based in Lisarow on the Central Coast of NSW.

In this role you will be working in a jobbing shop, where the work will be varied and non-repetitive, including manufacturing components from samples creating new parts to engineering tolerance sand standards. You will be part of a team dedicated to refurbishing pumps, gearboxes, compressors, blowers and ancillary equipment.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Ensure adherence to OHS policies and procedures
  • Support maintenance activities by provision of mechanical workshop services in the areas of fitting and machining
  • Operate a variety of equipment including Siemens CNC Horizontal Borer, Manual Lathes, Manual Milling Machines, Radial Drills, Manual Horizontal Borer and General Hand Tools
  • Provide quality workmanship in accordance with Australian Standards

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Trade or Engineering Certificate
  • 1st Class Machining Certificate
  • Preferably at least 5 years post trade experience
  • Demonstrate an ability to read and understand G-Code
  • Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Have experience with Siemens (highly desirable), Fanuc or Fagor Controls
  • Ability to independently set-up jobs dialing up to datum's including manufacture jigs/tooling
  • Utilise or working towards proficiency in CADCAM systems is highly desirable
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Ability to read precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work  unsupervised
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to work overtime as required
  • Good communication skills
  • Be a self starter

Operator required to use a Union BFT110 Siemens Operated Machine on a fulltime basis. Overtime is available.
