Maintenance Watch Engineer

Job Description

  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance requirements, defect rectifications, deferred defects, and AOG support to optimize efficiency and maximize aircraft serviceability.
  • Handle CASA applications (MEL extensions, permits, unservice abilities), ensure compliance with aviation regulations, and provide guidance on non-standard repairs or modifications.
  • Liaise with Fleet Services, Operations, Flight Crew, and external partners to align maintenance activities with flight schedules and authorize ferry flights when required.
  • Monitor parts supply chain, manage defect requisitions, maintain safety standards, provide technical support to aircrew, and ensure smooth workflow through effective handovers.

Qualifications:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1 or B2).
  • Proven experience working on turboprop or jet aircraft types.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, with the ability to oversee maintenance requirements to optimize efficiency and maximize aircraft availability.
  • Holder of EASA license

Work Set-up:

  • Permanent position.
  • Willing to commit to a 3-year placement in Broome or Kununurra.
