About the Opportunity

As a Chiller Technician with Trane Australia, you'll be part of an original equipment manufacturer team with direct access to factory resources, advanced technical training, and genuine spare parts. What a typical day could look like

Reporting directly to the Regional Services Manager, you'll:

  • Perform operational, maintenance, and repair work on commercial chillers and HVAC systems across Canberra and surrounding areas.
  • Plan, commission, and service Trane and other branded chiller plants—scheduled and unscheduled.
  • Complete work documentation accurately and on time.
  • Participate in our after-hours standby roster for extra exposure and incentives.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians and apprentices, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Comply with all safety and company policies.
  • Engage in training and service meetings and provide on-site mentorship to apprentices.
  • Identify and quote on new client leads for small service repairs.

What we're looking for

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience or exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Current restricted Electrical License
  • Valid driver's license and Construction Induction Card (white card)
  • Current ARC Licence
  • Proven competence in A/C maintenance and installation
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Technical proficiency and confidence to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, safety-first approach
