As a Chiller Technician with Trane Australia, you'll be part of an original equipment manufacturer team with direct access to factory resources, advanced technical training, and genuine spare parts. What a typical day could look like
Reporting directly to the Regional Services Manager, you'll:
- Perform operational, maintenance, and repair work on commercial chillers and HVAC systems across Canberra and surrounding areas.
- Plan, commission, and service Trane and other branded chiller plants—scheduled and unscheduled.
- Complete work documentation accurately and on time.
- Participate in our after-hours standby roster for extra exposure and incentives.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and apprentices, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Comply with all safety and company policies.
- Engage in training and service meetings and provide on-site mentorship to apprentices.
- Identify and quote on new client leads for small service repairs.
What we're looking for
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience or exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers
- Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Current restricted Electrical License
- Valid driver's license and Construction Induction Card (white card)
- Current ARC Licence
- Proven competence in A/C maintenance and installation
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Technical proficiency and confidence to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, safety-first approach
