About the role
BEAR EXPRESS PTY LTD' is seeking an experienced Linehaul Driver to join our dynamic team. As a Linehaul Driver. This is a full-time role based in Port Lincoln, SA 5606. You will be operating from Port Lincoln to Port Augusta on a nightly basis mainly towing a B-Double or B-Triple.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operating heavy vehicles to transport goods along scheduled routes.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
- Maintaining accurate records of driving activities, including logbooks.
- Ensuring all freight and paperwork is delivered into correct locations with care.
- Adhering to all relevant road transport regulations and company policies.
- Providing excellent customer service to clients.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Linehaul Driver in the road transport industry.
- Holds a valid Multi-Combination (MC) driver's licence.
- Holds a valid Forklift (LF) licence to perform high risk work.
- Experience on a forklift unloading and reloading pallets and lengths in and out of trailers with care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
- Ability to couple and uncouple trailers safely and efficiently.
- Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
