The Clinical Nurse Educator Waroona, Charleville, Western Qld, position has a primary focus of education within an aged care context. It is an advanced practice nurse who delivers a variety of clinical and non-clinical education and training activities designed to meet identified learning and development needs of nurses and non-clinicians.

The Clinical Nurse Educator works primarily in the clinical area offering direct support and supervision to nurses to promote and facilitate clinical care outcomes, mandatory and role requisite training required by the SWHHS.

Your role will involve a roster pattern on shift work. There will be occasions that you will be required to cover clinical on call after hours.

Our Waroona Multipurpose Centre is a 45-bed residential aged care facility in Charleville with two room types, to cover residents with different need levels. We provide communal activities in our vibrant common room, eating areas, and cozy sitting areas. Our residents enjoy our well-maintained gardens with seating and BBQ areas. All of our rooms are single rooms with ensuite or shared bathrooms, and feature wardrobes, air conditioning, and garden views. We provide low and high level care, including palliative care, 24-hour nursing care, allied health, and regular  recreational activities.

Waroona Multipurpose Centre, Charleville Western Qld, is a designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) site in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015. This attracts additional entitlements which may include:

  • An annual isolation bonus paid annually
  • Return airfares to the nearest provincial city in conjunction with leave
  • Additional annual leave per annum
