About the role

Hydro Pump Services is seeking a full-time Tank Technician to join our team in Jandakot, Western Australia. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection and repair of a variety of fire and potable water storage tanks and adjacent equipment. As a key member of our specialised team, you will play an integral part in the growth and operation of critical pumping systems for our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Install new storage tanks and/or integrate them into existing infrastructure.
  • Perform inspections of tanks as per Australian standards and perform preventative maintenance or replacement of parts as necessary.
  • Remote site inspections and works
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of tank kits
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Direct involvement with the growth of the division

What we're looking for

  • Training to work in confined space required. (Confined space rescue desirable)
  • Licence to perform high risk work -LF (desirable)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an industrial setting
  • Wet fire industry experience (desirable)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical schematics, drawings and manuals
  • Proficient with the use of hand tools, power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault-finding and repairs
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Current driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as required
