Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Casual Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone flexible, motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll support our Head Chef and team with preparing and cooking meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring smooth service during busy shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to venue standards.
- Assist with food prep and service during peak periods.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and kitchen procedures.
- Support the team with cleaning, stock rotation, and general kitchen duties.
- Work flexibly across different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and functions.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar chef or cook role.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Certificate desirable).
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to varying shifts.
