Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a Full Time Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Workshop Supervisor based out of our Crestmead depot reporting to the General Manager.

Key responsibilities but not limited to:

• Truck, trailer service and repairs

• Scheduled maintenance

• Finding mechanical faults within our fleet

• Repair mechanical equipment in accordance with OEM specifications

• Carry out pre-inspections for truck and trailer COI's,

• Participate in after-hours breakdown assistance where necessary,

• Observing safe work practice ensuring workshop is kept clean & tidy

• Organizing and checking any work required for workshop staff (e.g. apprentice and T.A)

• Checking and entering all paperwork and job cards

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Work well unsupervised with good time management skills,

• A commitment to safe work practices producing quality workmanship within the required timeframe,

• Accurate record keeping and job card management (experience with Gearbox software an advantage)

• Previous truck/heavy trailer fleet experience,

• Knowledge within Detroit and Cummins brands desirable,

• Diesel Mechanic trade qualification,

• HR Licence minimum, MC preferred

• Forklift ticket desirable but not essential

• Hard working and take pride in your work
