The Position

This is a fantastic career opportunity for an insurance professional to be valued for their expertise and join a growing international company.

As the Insurance Advisor – Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for managing and supporting DOF's insurance policy portfolio across the APAC region.

This is a Perth-based, full-time role, reporting to the General Manager Human Resources – APAC, and functionally to the Corporate VP of Insurance and Risk based in Norway.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate insurance policies for DOF's APAC operations, covering both commercial and people matters.
  • Provide guidance and advice on commercial and contract insurance matters to HR, Legal, Commercial/Tendering, Projects, Operations and other internal teams.
  • Liaise with insurance brokers to ensure coverage, placements, renewals and extensions are fit for purpose and minimise risk exposure.
  • Oversee and manage claims.
  • Administrative insurance tasks including premiums management, insurance certifications, compliance, budgeting and responding to insurance queries.
  • Support project teams from tender through to execution phases by securing timely, appropriate insurance cover.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and personnel insurance coverage, contracts and claims management.
  • Proficiency with Excel and the MS Office suite.
  • A proactive, positive attitude, drive and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
