Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Garden and Yard Maintenance worker to join our team. As a Garden and Yard Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of residential outdoor areas. This role involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall upkeep and enhancement of gardens, lawns, and landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing DVA and NDIS funded participants across Ipswich, Logan, Brisbane and Moreton Bay Regions
  • Routine mowing, garden maintenance, and general handyman services.
  • Mowing and edging lawns
  • Blowing, weeding, and hedging
  • Mulching, planting, and turfing
  • General yard clean-ups and rubbish removal
  • Gutter cleaning and general handyman maintenance
  • Operate equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  • Manage timelines and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards

Qualifications:

  • Cert lll Horticulture (Sports Turf Management) or equivalent or currently studying
  • Some grass species, weed and pest identification skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours across Monday to Friday
  • Ability to collect vehicle and equipment from our Brookwater office for servicing
  • Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
