The Sr Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Manager Business Planning and Analysis and working closely with the VP of Finance for various treasury reporting obligations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation and rollout of the company's SAP Analytics Cloud Planning (SAC) tool for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analytics, and other areas where needed;
  • Assist with establishing a multi-year planning process across the company that encompasses strategic initiatives and financial performance such as profitability and cash flow;
  • Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, including working with all areas of the company to gather inputs to maintain and update budgets and forecasts;
  • Prepare analysis of actual monthly performance and forecasts, providing explanations on variances against budgets and forecasts and identifying areas for improvement;
  • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for distribution to senior management, the Board, and external stakeholders as required;
  • Prepare cash flow for management reporting and assist with cash management including updating group cash flow forecast, monitoring daily cash flows and bank balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs;
  • Track lender obligations and undertakings, including preparation of compliance reporting to external lenders;
  • Assist with Know Your Client (KYC) and other compliance obligations required by the Company's banking relationships;
  • Support broader finance team with month end financial reporting and analysis as required; and
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.

Preferred Minimum Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years' experience in a corporate finance function
  • Experience in a listed oil and gas company strongly preferred
  • Prior Big 4 Accounting firm experience preferred
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • CPA, CA or equivalent required
  • Experience with SAP or Business By Design [ByD] preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen, ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to operate independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant experience driving initiatives to improve financial systems, processes, and procedures
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft products and various accounting software packages
  • Must be able to work occasional hours outside of the standard schedule, if required
