About Us:

Clemcorp Australia is a leader in the manufacturing and supply of ventilation fans for the mining industry. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team.

Role Overview:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for delivering engineering and technical solutions using PTC Creo. The role requires a strong focus on collaborating with customers and key stakeholders to understand and meet technical requirements. The Project Engineer will also support and lead project management activities on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.  Site based Project Management activities are expected of the role and will be required from time to time

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engineering solutions using 3D CAD modelling systems, particularly PTC Creo.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to fully understand and address technical requirements.
• Support or lead project management activities, including site works, budgeting, scheduling, supplier performance, and resource management.
• Perform detailed engineering analyses using tools such as FMEA, Risk Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Conduct system design safety analysis and the analysis of structural and mechanical components using FEA, classical methods, and testing.
• Prepare project deliverable documents, including Quality Plans, MDRs, and ITPs.
• Coordinate and manage the release of CAD models and Statements of Work (SOWs) to suppliers, oversee schedules, and ensure the inspection and acceptance of supplies.
• Support tender response preparation and contribute to achieving project goals
• Assist with and perform site based commissioning work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Designer.
• Bachelor's degree or trade qualification equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for PTC Creo.
• Experience working within a Product Data Management (PDM) environment.
• Experience with rotating equipment is highly desirable.
• Advanced skills in MS Project with proven experience in delivering projects.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain consistent project documentation.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with underground mining fans and ventilation systems.
• Experience working in an underground mining environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timely execution, and quality outcomes.

• Proven ability to manage key stakeholder collaboration, allocate resources effectively, and navigate challenges to keep

• Experience in the civil tunnelling sector.

• Able to travel and spend extended periods on site.
