The Avocado Collective, one of Australia's largest fruit packing facilities is seeking an experienced forklift operator.

The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in varying temperature-controlled environments. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing business that values its people and promotes from within.

This is a casual position, and all applicants must have the rights to work full time in Australia with no restrictions.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

  • Loading and unloading of trailers/Trucks
  • Wrapping and strapping the pallets
  • Operating an electric pallet jack to move pallets of received and sorted merchandise to shipping lanes or to other areas of the depot
  • Must have warehousing experience and be physically fit
  • Chiller/Cold Storage Distribution experience is an advantage. Chiller temperature work required (between 5 to -7 degrees)
  • Must be versatile and keen to work in both Ambient & Chiller and in different departments as per business needs
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • General upkeep of depot and grounds
  • Other duties as directed

To be successful for these positions you will possess the following

  • Current and valid Australian Forklift Licence is essential
  • Minimum 2 years' forklift operation experience
  • Must be available to work different shifts Mon - Fri 5.00am pm

  • Min shifts - 8hrs

  • Must be available for immediate start
