About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer with a minimum of 5 years' dedicated experience in supply authority-related design services. This role offers the chance to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Victoria's electricity networks while working in a supportive and flexible small business environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering underground and overhead distribution designs on the VESI power networks (Powercor, AusNet Services, Jemena, United Energy).
  • Providing technical delivery and client relationship management for urban electrical and utility projects.
  • Collaborating as a strong team player in the management and delivery of energy-related projects.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Tridec's quality standards.
  • Supporting quote preparation and offering technical input across related disciplines when required.

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or industry equivalent experience (minimum 3–5 years).
  • Ideally, design accreditation with Victorian Network Service Providers (Powercor, AusNet Services, Jemena, United Energy).
  • VESI Accreditation – Technical Officer / Maintenance Worker.
  • Experience with underground design for utilities and/or private developers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, liaising with clients (site developers) and authorities throughout project lifecycles.

  • Preferably, experience with:

  • Private electrical reticulation systems (AS3000).

  • Lighting design (AS1158).
  • Overhead design using Poles n Wires, NPOLES, or similar software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current and valid Australian driver's license.
