At Quest Geelong Central we're on the lookout for a new Night Porter to join our team on a casual basis working up to 20 hours per week on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Role

Quest Geelong Central's Night Porter is a highly valued member of our team, and key to ensuring positive experiences for our guests and the overall success of the business.

In particular, the role involves:

·       Provide front office reception services by checking in guests, managing transactions in RMS, responding to calls and requests promptly.

·       Cleaning common areas to ensure high standards of presentation of the property in line with the Quest brand standards, and efficient operations based on occupancy demands and guest needs.

·       Perform housekeeping duties as per the Quest Housekeeping Manual, including room cleaning, bed making, replenishing supplies, linen storage, reporting maintenance, and safe equipment storage.

·       Adhere to Quest's occupational health & safety and security policies by following procedures, securing property, maintaining professional presentation, and promptly reporting any concerns or suspicious behavior to the Franchise Manager

·       Be prepared to respond to emergencies and follow safety protocols as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

Will demonstrate a can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work, excellent communication skills, a friendly customer service demeanor, a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, discretion in guest interaction, and a strong appreciation for workplace safety.  An ability to follow instructions and work quickly and efficiently to achieve individual and team goals is key.

Prior experience in a hospitality reception or housekeeping role is essential, and qualifications and prior experience in the hospitality, travel or tourism industries would be highly regarded.

The successful applicant must be available to work night shifts on Fridays and Saturdays and public holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.
