The role

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Yard Hand (mechanically minded) to be based out of our branch in Wangaratta.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a highly valued and critical role in ensuring the yard is maintained as per OH&S standards and that our equipment is ready for hire.

The position is Full Time working Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5pm.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinate daily workshop & yard operations as requested – housekeeping to keep the workshop clean
  • Responsible for cleaning of hire equipment
  • Complete parts pick-ups as required
  • Complete a variety of branch duties – OH&S requirements keeping the workshop & yards clean and clear of OH&S hazards
  • Support the team by unloading & loading hire equipment for customers if required, as well as general housekeeping duties around the yard and office
  • Follow the daily branch open & close process & procedures including security requirements

Experience required:

To be successful for this job, you will need the following:

  • Would suit a mechanically minded person
  • Current Driver's License
  • Effective time management and attention to detail
  • Great housekeeping ethic with a commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Be eager and willing to learn both at work & onsite if required
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
