We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Victoria — someone who can deliver top-notch, engaging and compliant training that truly makes a splash

Your Mission

As our Trainer, you'll be the champion of our students' success, blending industry relevance with RTO compliance. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Training & Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions (face-to-face, online, or blended) aligned with the Training Package and RTO policies. You must be able to deliver training at multiple sites across Melbourne and be available for some weekend and evening courses.
  • Course Content: You will be delivering specialist training in the sports and aquatics industry including Certificate III in Sport & Recreation, as well as certifications in First Aid, CPR, Pool Lifeguard and Pool Operations.
  • Assessments: Conduct valid, fair and reliable assessments that align with the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
  • Learner Support: Provide academic and mentoring support, monitor progress and ensure reasonable adjustments are applied appropriately.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with the Standards for RTOs and participate in audits, validation and professional development.
  • Company Standards: Uphold BlueFit's high standards for Work Health and Safety and the Safeguarding of Children and Young People.

What You'll Bring

  • VET Competency: Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
  • Industry Experience: Recent industry experience relevant to the qualification(s) delivered.
  • Compliance Smarts: Strong knowledge of compliance obligations under the Standards for RTOs
  • Required Qualifications (Must be kept current): CPR, Senior First Aid, Driver's license and a Working With Children Check relevant for the Australian State or Territory in which you are working.
  • People Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bonus points if you have a Cert IV in Training and Assessing (or equivalent).

Work Locations

This full time role is based at our Site Support office in Essendon with an expectation that you will deliver courses across our Victorian based sites, primarily in the suburbs of Melbourne.
