Who are we looking for? We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplinedAircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to join our defence sector in Amberley, QLD. If you're a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you're the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

*Your role* In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
  • Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
  • Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
  • Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;
  • Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.

*The essential requirements*

  • Trade Certificate IV (Avionics);
  • Any C-27J experience (preferably type rated);
  • Heavy maintenance experience on transport aircraft;
  • Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components.
  • Strong team player;
  • Ability to follow supervisory direction;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
  • Passion for safe work practices;
  • Valid work visa;
  • Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain);
  • Current Australian Driver's licence.; and
  • Australian citizenship and ability to gain Defence clearance.
