Job Summary:

Sendable, a leading logistics and fulfilment company, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Team Member. As a Warehouse Picker & Packer, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and packing orders for our customers. Your role will contribute to ensuring timely and accurate shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities:

  1. Safety compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  2. Pick and pack orders: Accurately select items from designated locations in the warehouse based on order specifications and ensure proper packaging for shipment.
  3. Quality control: Inspect items for defects, damages, or incorrect labelling before packing to maintain high-quality standards.
  4. Inventory management: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in conducting periodic inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  5. Order verification: Cross-reference order information with the picking list or packing slip to ensure the correct items and quantities are selected for each order.
  6. Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other warehouse staff, including supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of tasks, and effective communication within the team.
  7. Equipment operation: Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to transport items within the warehouse when necessary.
  8. Maintain cleanliness: Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from any potential hazards.

Qualifications:

  1. High school certificate or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in a similar warehouse picking or order fulfilment role is preferred but not required.
  3. Forklift License - REQUIRED - High Reach - Double Deep Experience - DESIRABLE
  4. Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems is an advantage.
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Physical stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
  7. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  8. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  9. Proficient in using basic computer systems and software.
