About the facility 

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 About the Role

We are seeking to employ a General Practitioner to work as a consultant alongside Paediatricians, registrars and allied health in our multidisciplinary general paediatric clinics (0-18 years, BRANCHS), based at the Early Parenting Centre, McKellar.

• You'll be part of a large paediatric team supported by an engaged consultant group with responsibility for a 24 bed inpatient ward and 13 bed Level 5 Nursery managing inborn deliveries from 31 weeks gestation, as well as direct involvement in management of 1-3 intensive care paediatric patients in a mixed adult-paediatric ICU service
• This position is part of a new commitment to invest in the provision of general paediatric outpatient services to the Barwon region
• They will complement existing outpatient clinics based at University Hospital Geelong and community child health clinics based at Barwon North
