Project Material Pty Ltd is an Australian company delivering innovative erosion control systems to domestic and international infrastructure projects. Our proprietary Rock Bag Filter Units (RBFUs) and patented installation methods are setting new standards in marine, riverine, and dam-related works.

We are a nimble, growing business delivering field-proven solutions in remote and logistically challenging locations – from the Pacific Islands to inland Australia. We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Supervisor to coordinate site-based works and oversee installations across a growing portfolio of supply-and-install contracts.

The Role

This is a hands-on, site-focused role suited to someone with a solid grounding in civil or marine construction and a practical understanding of safety, compliance, and stakeholder coordination.

You will report directly to executive management and work closely with internal logistics and engineering support to deliver effective field installations of our systems. The role requires frequent travel and the ability to work independently in diverse and sometimes remote environments.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee site preparation, installation, and handover of Rock Bag Filter Units and associated systems

· Ensure compliance with SWMS, environmental controls, and relevant WHS legislation

· Supervise subcontractors and labour on site; ensure safe and efficient work practices

· Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams during planning and execution phases

· Contribute to site documentation including daily reports, inspections, and variation logs

· Coordinate logistics, materials handling, and equipment use on site (including sonar and Autonomous release hooks)

· Represent Project Material professionally in the field, including internationally

About You

· Minimum 5 years' site or construction experience (civil, marine, environmental, or related)

· Strong practical knowledge of installation and site coordination

· Comfortable working independently in remote and regional environments

· Ability to read plans, coordinate teams, and maintain safety and quality on site

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

· White Card (mandatory); any of Confined Space, First Aid, or Plant tickets highly regarded

· Willingness to travel frequently (including overseas) and work away from home

Desirable but Not Essential

· Exposure to geosynthetics, erosion control systems, or marine-based installations

· Experience working with remote sensing, sonar, or cable deployment systems

· Coxswain class 3 or higher

· Understanding of bidirectional geogrid or similar reinforcement systems
