We are a busy, thriving practice with 7 dentists and 6 chairs, yet we don't currently have a hygiene/therapy department. That's where you come in. This is your opportunity to:

• Shape the future of hygiene and therapy in our practice.
• If required, we will engage a hygiene/therapy consultant, guiding us to establish a department that runs on true best practice.

Scope of Practice You'll Lead

As our first hygienist/therapist, you'll have the chance to work across your full scope of training and experience, including:

• Periodontal care: Stage 1 periodontal treatment, periodontal charting, scaling and root planing, preventive maintenance.
• Preventive care: Oral hygiene instruction, dietary counselling, fluoride applications, sealants, patient photography.
• Children's dentistry: Therapy work for children and adolescents, including simple restorations and extractions of deciduous teeth.
• Restorative & supportive work: Simple direct restorations, fissure sealants, pulp therapies for deciduous teeth
• Team collaboration: Supporting our dentists in prevention-focused care, contributing to treatment planning, and escalating complex cases appropriately.
• Patient engagement: Strong focus on communication, education, and empowering patients in their oral health journey.
