The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager plays a central role in managing the company's financial performance and enabling sound, data-driven decision-making. You'll bring structure, rigour and insight to a high-performing business entering its next phase of national growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting, reporting and financial operations across three distinct business units.
  • Deliver timely management reporting, cashflow forecasting and performance insights.
  • Partner with the General Manager and department leads to plan, track and optimise results.
  • Manage budgeting, project cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Supervise payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance obligations.
  • Lead enhancement of financial systems, processes and automation improvements

About You

You're commercially minded, detail-driven and confident operating in a dynamic environment. You understand how finance underpins operational excellence and enjoy being close to the action, not behind a spreadsheet wall.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (CA/CPA qualified preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience in a finance leadership or management accounting role.
  • Proven ability to build systems, streamline processes and deliver actionable insight.
  • Strong Excel and cloud accounting platform skills (e.g. Xero, MYOB Advanced, or similar).
  • Exposure to construction, engineering or manufacturing industries advantageous.
  • Clear communicator with the confidence to engage directly with senior leaders
