Core Purpose:

We are seeking professionals to assess applicants' technical skills in planning, setting up, operating, and maintaining sound and lighting systems for events, theatre, television, or studio environments. This role requires an understanding of creative production processes and safe work practices in the entertainment industry.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate III/IV in Live Production and Technical Services or equivalent in sound or lighting technology.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or successor).

Industry Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in live production, theatre, broadcast, or touring events.
  • Proficiency in operating digital and analogue audio systems, microphones, mixing consoles, lighting desks, and rigging equipment.
  • Understanding of acoustics, lighting design principles, DMX control systems, and workplace safety regulations.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • TRA approval in each occupation assessed.
  • Demonstrated currency in both audio and lighting technologies (where dual-qualified).
  • National Police Check, Working with Children Check, valid driver's license.
