Fitter and Turner

About the role

K & T Engineering is seeking a full time experienced Fitter & Turner to join our dynamic team on projects based both in our Factory in Somerton and Onsite.

What you'll be doing

• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Machining parts in the lathe and mill, maintaining machinery and general fitting.
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with relevant safety regulations
• Collaborating with the production team to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the manufacturing process
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Fitting & Turning , with a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience
• Leadership experience (preferred)
• Experience in MIG and ARC welding techniques, with the ability to produce high-quality welds
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work that meets or exceeds quality standards
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A valid forklift license (preferred)
