ABOUT THE POSITION.

We are seeking aAsset Engineer to join a progressive and strategic asset management team in local council. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping how critical public infrastructure - is planned, maintained, and improved to meet the evolving needs of the community.

You'll help with the implementation of long-term asset management strategies, manage corporate systems, and ensure programs align with sustainability, performance, and compliance goals.

DUTIES.

  • Help develop and implement asset management strategies and policy frameworks for building and infrastructure assets
  • Assist in creating and mapping new assets, maintaining existing asset data, analysing data, development of maintenance and inspection schedules
  • Oversee the use and development of corporate asset management systems
  • Prepare forward capital works programs with multi-year projections

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • Strong experience managing infrastructure or asset-related projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • Proficient in writing reports and preparing consultant briefs
  • Knowledge of asset management frameworks, legislation and contemporary practices
