The Tile Collective is an industry leader in top quality tiles and tiling products who are known for quality, customer service and value. We have 4 retail stores (Underwood, Herston, Labrador, Woodridge) and one large distribution centre/head office in Woodridge. Our customers consist of tradespeople, homeowners, developers/builders and other tile businesses.

Role

Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overall management of the Labrador retail showroom including people management and maximising sales.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Administration and Operations: People management including performance management, recruitment, training and development, and completing store rostering
• Finance: Assist in preparation of and deliver to store/retail budgets by working with the team
• Inventory management: Monitor and manage stock in First In First Out trade materials warehouse (i.e. glues and grouts), stocktake and reorder as required
• Execute in-store marketing campaigns
• Provide training and guidance to staff when required
• Assisting customers with sales orders and quotes

You

To be successful in the role you will have the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:

• Prior experience in a management position in a Retail Showroom
• Strong work ethic - punctual and reliable
• Eye for detail
• Positive Attitude
• Experience in selling flooring or other relatable building products, and are comfortable dealing with Builders, Tradespeople, Architects and consumers.

Other attributes include:

• Lateral and tactical thinker
• Ability to work weekends advantageous (the store is open Saturdays 8:30-3)
• Physically fit, and not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to think on your feet in a fast paced environment
• First Aid and Forklift ticket advantageous
