About the role and where you will be working:

Our residential Care team at Germanus Kent House are currently looking for a experienced Cook to work on a part time basis.

We want our residents to feel at home, and we fully cater for all different types of dietary needs. So you'll be serving meals that could be texture-modified or plated in a particular way.

Our residents get to enjoy freshly prepared meals, regular outings, music therapy and family-like care.

About you:

You may already be working in a similar role in aged care or perhaps you've worked in restaurants / commercial kitchens and are ready to try something different.

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• Prior experience in commercial cooking services
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, texture modified, purees, etc.)
• Maintaining legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
• An understanding of specific dietary requirements
• Knowledge of safe handling & storage of chemicals
• Great interpersonal skills
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery from an accredited training body
