Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Canva Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Driving large scale delivery: Lead planning and programs across B2B, aligning teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity of scope, timelines, roadmaps, and quality expectations then see these plans through to launch.

  • Triaging sales-led B2B requests: Act as the first line of triage for inbound B2B customer asks, partnering with Operations, Sales, TAMs, and Product to assess urgency, then determine feasibility with existing delivery roadmaps and strategic priorities.

  • Supporting AI delivery: Help teams contributing to B2B plan, coordinate, and launch AI-powered features. Ensure delivery practices evolve to meet the speed, safety, and cross-functional complexity that AI introduces.

  • Building alignment and trust: Facilitate delivery conversations between Product, Sales, Engineering, Ops, and PMM.

  • Establishing clarity: Introduce program governance, delivery confidence reporting, and standardised ways of working across cross-group initiatives.

  • Mentoring others: Support and upskill TPMs in planning, execution, and cross-group collaboration.

You're probably a match if

  • You have a minimum of 10 years experience leading technical programs at a tech company

  • You are knowledgeable in technical concepts, systems and practices

  • You have experience working with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver key company initiatives

  • Proven ability to drive complex programs end-to-end across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong strategic thinking, able to balance customer immediacy with long-term goals.

  • Experienced in working with product, engineering, and go to market teams.

  • Confident navigating ambiguity, aligning conflicting priorities, and establishing delivery confidence.

  • Excels in proactive communication and managing up, across, and outward to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated capability in uplifting TPM craft, mentoring others, and building scalable practices.

  • Comfortable working in AI-enhanced environments, with curiosity and initiative to leverage AI tools in program delivery and team effectiveness.

About Technical Program Managers

As a Technical Program Manager, it is your mission to work closely with senior managers and product development teams to build a sustainable culture of positive urgency in delivery. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs and be equally comfortable working with leadership to set strategic goals and clarify priorities, as you are with teams to communicate program status, escalate issues and manage dependencies as you are navigating technical trade-offs with an engineer.

You'll work across both the B2B program an area central to Canva's strategic priorities and increasingly shaped by AI innovation. In B2B, you'll partner with leadership to operationalise enterprise delivery, align customer commitments with product delivery, and streamline internal and external facing delivery reporting.

You'll be a delivery expert, a strategic partner, an essential coordinator, and a craft leader for other TPMs.

What's in it for you?
