Barnson is a well established multi disciplinary consultancy firm, we are currently seeking a structural engineer to join our team in our Dubbo office. Our company provides a friendly team environment, supportive management, and offers great diversity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide engineering solutions that maintain design intent and consider build-ability
  • Make decisions on what needs to be done based on clearly established guidelines but which need to be adapted for varying situations
  • Design and analyze structures using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other modeling tools.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Prepare detailed design and construction documents, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, construction materials, and equipment.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Graduation from an accredited University with a degree in Structural Engineering
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in the Structural Engineering field
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite & CAD products
  • An ability to follow & manage standard operating procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • An unwavering approach to following safety guidelines & programs
  • Ability to think laterally (outside the square) and show initiative
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Current Australian Driver Licence
  • Current White Card
  • Willingness to travel away from home to conduct project work

Annual salary for this position will be assessed based on the skills and knowledge of the successful applicant.
