Full Time Kefir Yoghurt Cook- Food Manufacturing

Babushka's Kefir manufactures and distributes freshly made kefir probiotic yoghurts

throughout Australia. The brand is well established and known for its quality and

authenticity. Our customers include Woolworths, Coles, Harris Farm and IGA's.

Responsible for managing the kefir production process and ensuring food safety and

quality standards are always met. This role requires a strong understanding of kefir

fermentation, relevant food regulations and a passion for kefir making and dairy

processing.

In addition, you will be required to assist with all manufacturing and handling

functions.

This is a full-time role.

Experience and knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly in fermentation and

dairy processing is essential. You are someone who can work effectively in a team

environment, be relied upon, can take on responsibility and can manage your daily

duties without much supervision. Overtime work including weekend work is available.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the fermentation process, ensuring consistent quality and flavour

development

  • Handling and storing ingredients according to established procedures.

  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process, including taste, texture

and appearance

  • Supervise and train other staff involved in kefir production techniques and food

safety procedures

  • Carry out various production processes in a safe and timely manner.

  • Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch including using the pallet wrapping

machine.

  • Perform any other relevant duties as required in the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 50 per week
