A bit about us
At AgriWebb our mission is to empower the livestock industry with the best possible tools to feed the world both profitably and sustainably. We are the market leader in SaaS Livestock Business Management and are rapidly expanding, with offices in Australia, USA and UK; and customers in Brazil, South Africa, and New Zealand.
Joining us means you'll be working with a group of phenomenal people - from farming experts, to tech groundbreakers, to sustainability gurus - in a down to earth and supportive culture.
Ready to have a real impact on climate change and help us change the future of the livestock industry?
About the role
In this position you'll play a pivotal role in bridging AgriWebb's cutting-edge AI research with real-world impact for farmers. You'll design, build, and maintain the robust data infrastructure required to transform research innovations into reliable, scalable, and production-ready predictive systems. By enabling the delivery of insights such as livestock growth predictions, forage forecasting, and farm performance analytics directly into the AgriWebb platform, you'll ensure that complex data and models are transformed into actionable intelligence that drives better decision-making on the ground.
In this role you'll ensure data quality, security, and scalability across AgriWebb's ecosystem—supporting the company's mission to empower the livestock industry with sustainable, data-driven tools that help feed the world profitably and responsibly.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Knowledge of machine learning model operationalisation (MLOps) — integrating research models into scalable, production-ready systems
- Familiarity with agricultural or environmental data ecosystems, including geospatial, climate, or livestock performance data
- Advanced experience with Snowflake, DBT, and SQL for building and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines
- Proficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, S3, & Kinesis for ETL and data processing workflows
- Experience integrating and optimising GraphQL APIs and web-based data services
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and Angular, with the ability to develop tools and components that surface AI outputs to users
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures that support analytics, research, or machine learning use cases
- Demonstrated experience productising AI or data science models, moving from prototype to production in a scalable and maintainable way
- Experience working within cloud-native environments (AWS preferred) and implementing infrastructure-as-code or automated deployment for data services
Benefits
- Flexible work including hybrid and fully remote arrangements
- Converted warehouse office space in the heart of Surry Hills
- Supportive and family-friendly work environment with flexible hours
- 18 weeks of paid parental leave (for all parents), superannuation paid on parental leave up to 12 months, paid fertility leave and pregnancy loss leave
- Additional 10 days paid Family Leave
