DJ Wightman & Co Pty Ltd is a family-owned Transport & Logistics Company specialising in Refrigerated Transport in South Australia and Interstate.

We have been operating in the industry for over 60 years and have been aligned with one of the largest supermarket chains in Australia delivering product to over 65 stores in South Australia alone.

Currently operating over 150 pieces of equipment and 125 employees in our contracts which DJ Wightman complete with a high level of competency.

Positions available:

We have 3 types of driver roles available within our company:

  1. Interstate Driver for ADL-MLB-ADL Runs (B Double) – Minimum MC x2 runs per week available occasionally x5 per fortnight

  2. Regional Driver (Regional South Australia) – Minimum MC

  3. Local Drivers for PM shifts, 10am onwards

What we want from a driver:

  • The ability to meet strict delivery deadlines and to be flexible when required.
  • Work collaboratively as a team and support where required.
  • A valid MC/HC Truck license.
  • Strong commitment to safety and responsible driving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the warehouse/store team.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Assisting with Unloading multi-temp refrigerated trailers, utilising Manual & Electric Pallet Jacks where required (at store.)
  • Docking trailers/ Finger docks/ scissor lift with (rear reversing exp.)
  • Must have BFMand fitness to drive medical for regional and interstate.
  • Previous temperature control experience will be highly regarded, but not essential

  • Casual & Permanent positions available
  • HC Local roles start from $38.12 per hour (Award Grade 6)
  • MC roles (Regional & Interstate) start from $47.60 – $50 per hour
  • Consistent full-time hours
  • Drivers can remain casual indefinitely if preferred
  • Various shifts available, No Mon-Fri only rosters, some weekend work required, DO NOT apply if this does not suit.
  • Hourly rates on all Regional / Interstate trips
